For people at the forefront of progress
After almost 24 months of construction, the new advisory center in the industrial heart of the Marburg-Biedenkopf district, in Stadtallendorf, was officially opened on an area of 2,500 m². Regionality, sustainability and community not only characterize the values of Sparkasse Marburg-Biedenkopf, but also the architecture of the new building.
A contemporary artistic concept was designed to reflect both the architecture and the guidelines and self-image of Sparkasse Marburg-Biedenkopf "Fair. Human. Close." reflected. Customers, visitors and employees should be invited to experience the regional orientation and customer-oriented philosophy of the Sparkasse Group with its multi-layered areas of activity directly and artistically at this location and to rediscover it again and again.
The works focus in particular on the themes of people, urbanity, nature and economy as reflected in the Marburg region, subtly interpreted artistically to visually emphasize the proximity to and reflection of the region.
The elaborated artistic concept focused on the design of the wall, ceiling and glass areas of the building with photographic works by the artist Astrid Lowack in dialog with works by Fabio Scaturro. Abstract and representational photography enter into an exciting exchange. In Lowack's work, the focus is on fantasy, the unconscious and abstraction. Scaturro, on the other hand, works with a realistic photographic historicity that documents the individual in our time. In this way, both artists focus on the physical and psychological aspects of human life, making it a characteristic of process-oriented counseling.
In addition to the diversity of their different artistic styles and means of design, both artists combine a site-specific approach in the creation of their holistic concepts, which always include an active approach to the given architectural specifics of stringency and glassy rhythm. The artistic interventions have made it possible to intensify the architecture of the new building.
