AIDAluna

AIDAluna - A heavenly ship

AIDAluna, the third of a total of six newbuildings for the AIDA fleet, started its maiden voyage from Hamburg on March 22, 2009 after a construction period of around 9 months. The cruise ship, like its identical sister ships AIDAdiva and AIDAbella, was built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg.

There are 1,025 passenger cabins on board and a 2,300 square meter wellness area with saunas. A total of eleven bars and seven restaurants, complemented by the most innovative entertainment technology, ensure culinary well-being. The theatrium has state-of-the-art stage technology and the pool and sun deck has an 8 x 4.5 meter LED screen on the pool deck that can play films in cinema format. The powerful laser show system from AIDAluna, which is also used for the first time on a cruise ship, projects fascinating, weightless worlds onto the sky, which inspire with endless variety.

Samuelis Baumgarte Art Consulting was commissioned with the artistic design of the pool deck, the restaurants and stairwells, corridors and cabins.
