Volksbank Bielefeld-Gütersloh

Revitalization of the company headquarters at Kesselbrink

From the firm roots of the Bielefelder Volksbank am Kesselbrink, a few years ago the desire arose to keep the building from the 1960s, to remove the core and then to design it in a contemporary and energetically sustainable way. The headquarters of Volksbank Bielefeld-Gütersloh was revitalized and extensively modernized for a good two and a half years. The new building was accentuated with artistic highlights in selected areas.

The extensive art concept of Samuelis Baumgarte Art Consulting combines paintings by Oliver Christmann, Andreas Durrer, Ursula Jüngst and Bernard Lokai with sculptures by Axel Anklam, Kristian Niemann and Christian Rudolph. The artistic design is rounded off with photographic works by Astrid Lowack and Anja Neudert. In combination with fine wood and leather furniture, the artistic work gives the newly designed rooms a timeless elegance.

In mid-May 2018, the 150 employees were finally able to move into the modernized building. In the market hall and on the office floors, the sales, marketing, corporate customers and asset management departments find space for concentrated work and, if required, areas for smaller meetings and open communication with one another, which make work much easier and even more effective. The selected contemporary artistic positions are intended to underline the architecture, corporate identity and interior design of Volksbank Bielefeld-Gütersloh and invite employees, customers and visitors to experience and discover the Volksbank at its headquarters.
