Between Surface and Space
Located in the center of Frankfurt's opera district, Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH moved into its new location in 2012 in the “Die Welle” building complex. Back then, Samuelis Baumgarte Art Consulting developed an art concept for the conference rooms, the corridor zones and the waiting area at the reception, which harmoniously combines the works of different contemporary artists. In 2016, the law firm's collection was expanded to include additional works.
In two conference rooms there are current works made of folded foil and acrylic paint by the "Zurich Concrete" Marguerite Hersberger, which move subtly between surface and space. Three further conference rooms were designed with colorful paper and canvas works by the Nuremberg painter Joachim Kersten. Different textures allow the works to appear almost three-dimensional into the room.
Graphics by ZERO artist Heinz Mack will in future accompany employees and clients on their walk through the corridor zones and encourage intensive discussions. The waiting area at the office reception offers those waiting with a photograph of the large-scale installation “Cathedral of Doubtful Brightness” by artist Yvonne Goulbier, which was created in 1986, to experience a completely new reality through the almost immaterial color shown.
