AIDAsol - A dream ship in a Mediterranean design
After around 9 months of construction at the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, the new cruise ship AIDAsol set sail for the first time in 2011.
At 71,100 GT, the new cruise ship offers plenty of space for new attractions, fresh designs and all the innovative ideas that make an AIDA cruise an unforgettable experience: The largest floating wellness area in the world's oceans when the ship was built is located on the AIDAsol the brewery as well as the culinary variety of the seven restaurants on board are especially lovingly designed. In the glass theatrium, for example, guests can experience the show Fata Morgana, created especially for AIDAsol, with rousing music and acrobatics.
Samuelis Baumgarte Art Consulting was commissioned with the artistic design of the pool deck, the restaurants and stairwells, corridors and cabins.
